The development of residential units on the sloping site in Walderslade, Chatham. This site required careful consideration to the landscape and ecological habitats on site due to the geology of the site. The underlying chalk rock had created native chalk grassland on the site which is a precious habitat. Our development proposals incorporated this habitat and retained where possible areas of native chalk grassland and also enhanced new areas within the development. Careful ground preparation notes were developed to ensure that the growth of the proposed landscape planting would survive in this challenging environment.
